Dee works for WFTS as a weekend morning meteorologist at ABC Action News since 2017. After graduating from Florida State University, he worked in Alabama, Arkansas, and Ohio. Prior to working for WFTS, he served WKCY-TV, Cleveland as a meteorologist for 2 years since 2015.
Further, he worked for KLRT-TV, Arkansas which is a Fox-affiliated network as a meteorologist for 2 years since February 2013. Also, he has served at KARK-TV, Arkansas which is NBC affiliated network as a morning meteorologist for 4 years since 2011.
Although, from July 2008 to July 2011 he served the station as a weekend meteorologist. Further, he served as a main traffic reporter and a social media reporter throughout KARK 4 Today. Last but not least, Dee began his TV career as a chief meteorologist for WDHN, Alabama. He did the 5, 6, and 10 p.m. newscasts on weekdays. While working in these areas he got acquainted with ice storms, Lake Effect Snow, thunderstorms, floods, sea breeze, and tornadoes.
In addition, he has gained awards such as the 2008 AMS awards for Broadcast meteorology of the year and the 2007 Hometown Hero award just to list a few. Also, he has been a Regional Emmy award nominee thrice for his work as the best meteorologist. On a side note, Dee is a dedicated runner and biker. He enjoys exploring new regions via running.
