Coy works for WJCL as a weekday anchor and investigative reporter for WJCL 22 News. He joined the ABC 22 News team in October 2021. Prior to WJCL, she served the Hearst flagship station in Boston, WCVB. Further, she served in Memphis, Tennessee at WHBQ as a weekend anchor and investigative reporter. Moreover, she served as a member of a team of reporters that attained a Regional Emmy.
Also, he attained a Regional Emmy for broadcasting protests about police accountability and transparency. While in Memphis, he recorded the ruinous Gatlinburg Fire, the arrest of Sherra Wright for the killing of her husband ex NBA star Lorenzen Wright and the need for witness protection to assist solve violent crimes.
From 1993 to 1998, he served in Hartford at WFSB as an anchor and a reporter. Additionally, he attained l AP and SPJ awards during his 5-year stint at the station. Moreover, he served Comcast/CN8 as an anchor, reporter, and co-managing editor. While there, he worked on assignments such as the 9-11 terror attacks, the Capitol Hill shooting, and the contested Philadelphia Mayoral election in 2003.
Also, he serves as a lifelong member of the National Association of Black Journalists. When he is not working, he attempts to reinvent his golf game. On top of that, he serves SGI USA as an active member. To boot, he loves traveling the Caribbean and learning all there is to enjoy in Savannah and the Low Country.
