Scarano works at ABC 33/40 News team as the Weekend Anchor and Reporter. Prior to joining the network, she was tenured at WCTI News Channel 12 as a Full-time Multimedia Journalist in New Bern, North Carolina, United States. There she also served as a full-time weekend anchor and as an MMJ at Fox 8/14 for two years. She featured several events including during the 2020 campaign cycle Vice President Mike Pence’s visit to Kinston, North Carolina, Hurricane Isaias’ aftermath from the fatal EF-3 tornado in Bertie County, and the Plane Crash Down East that killed 8 including 4 teenagers.

For the network, she was made responsible for the Weekend morning newscasts, anchoring, generating content for rundowns, fill-in for weekday evening shows, Edit, producing,  breaking news coverage, and daily live shots in the field. Previously, she was tenured as an intern at WVU News in Morgantown, West Virginia in January 2020 serving as the network’s main anchor/reporter. Prior to this, she served as the network’s Social Square anchor in August 2019. Before joining the network, she served as an intern at WDVM-TV localDVM.com for four months in Hagerstown Maryland.

There was a summer intern at WDVM 25 having her hands-on experience with camera equipment, Adobe Premiere Pro 2019, and finding stories. She also served as a fill-in reporter and anchor daily while in the field and on set in the studio. Previously as a marketing intern at West Virginia Black Bears Baseball for five months in Morgantown, West Virginia. There she served as a full-time marketing team intern working closely with the sponsorship, promotions, and marketing for the team and organization as a whole. It was there that she learned the importance of a business-sponsor relationship and a consumer-business relationship.

Additionally, she was tenured at Barbara Ingram Foundation as a summer intern for the foundation and learned hands-on how the non-profit runs. There she was made responsible for organizing grants, checks, and receipts for the foundation. She also helped out with their Summer Arts Academy, and social media. Additionally, she took part in planning events for every month of the school year as Barbara Ingram is approaching the 10-year anniversary.

Scarano also served as a Summer Dance Instructor at West Virginia University’s Summer Dance for June 2017 in Morgantown, West Virginia. During her leisure time, she enjoys taking ballet classes, napping with her cat Olive, and running.
