Evan Chickvara’s Career
Chickvara works for ABC 33 40 as a meteorologist and is a Georgia native. He became more determined to specialize in meteorology after his fear of the weather. Besides him being young, he would always watch The Weather Channel. In his third grade, he got the chance to meet up with a Meteorologist from the NWS Peachtree City. It was after the meet-up that he got more fascinated by the weather and decided to make it a daily routine.
Prior to joining the network, he was tenured at WTVY in Dothan Alabama where he served as a Meteorologist for five years and ten months. There he featured several events including the 2018 Hurricane Michael. He also volunteered at the Wiregrass Area Food Bank since January 2015 in Animal Welfare. There he hosts local food drive shows which promote donations to food banks. During his free time, he loves exercising, visiting the movie theatre with his lovely wife, and also playing baseball. He also enjoys and is also a Mississippi State fandom.
