Fisher began his broadcasting career at WCYB/ WEMT/ CW4 in Bristol, Virginia. During his time there, he held several positions, producer, News anchor, Investigative reporter, and Meteorologist. Fisher spent 5 years in Virginia before moving to work for KTBC Fox 7 News in February 2001. He currently serves as the station’s Chief Meteorologist. Catch him on weekdays at 5, 6, 9 and 10 p.m.
Fisher has won the Texas Associated Broadcasters’ BEST WEATHERCAST award three times since he joined the FOX 7 Weather Team. Additionally, he provides daily forecasts on BOB-FM Radio. Fisher is also a state licensed public school teacher in both New York and Texas.
When he is not working, Fisher travels the country in an attempt to see every Major League Baseball stadium. He is at thirty and counting. In addition, Fisher has coached Little League baseball as well as middle and high school baseball in New York, Washington, Virginia, and here in Texas. Having a former Little Leaguer who is now a Major League pitcher makes him extremely proud!
