Gibson was a summer intern at the Douglas County Board of Commissioners for two months in Douglasville, GA. Therefore, she would interview Commissioner on the county’s television channel and file papers as well as write scripts. Also, educated views on mental health and created a template for Chairman’s e-newsletter. Additionally, she was lucky to learn about various positions in county government. Later, Anaya proudly became a freelance writer for Society19 until August 2019.

Prior to being part of the WCTV team, she worked as a multimedia journalist for Grady Newsource for six months in Athens, Georgia, United States. Here, Anaya produced broadcasts and covered the Sheriff’s department, State and Supreme court as well as Athens-Clarke County police. In addition, it was her duty to write script packages, leads, and tags for the 5 pm live newscast via Rundown Creator among others.
Gibson had also worked as a communication intern at The University of Georgia and as an opinion writer for InfUSion Magazine. She wrote articles like “Freshman Year” which reflected on the challenges of his freshman year experience at UGA. Anaya also wrote an article on “The Hate U Get” which discussed diversity in Hollywood and in which ways it reflected in the creation of the movie, “The Hate U Give.
Anaya has received awards for Winner, Best Morning Show (News Team), FABJ, 2020. Another award for Finalist, Producer, FABJ, 2020. Gibson who is a Georgia Peach loves traveling, production, and eating good food. She spends quality time with her loved ones.
