Alexa honed her reporting skills while attending college by working as a contributing writer and reporter for FIU’s South Florida Media Network, where she created original weekly packages. She also contributed to PantherNOW, the school’s newspaper.
Alexa gained paramount experience as a co-host of the morning show “Good Mornin’ Amigo” during her summer job at SLAM! Radio in Miami. Before coming to WBBH/WZVN, she was an assignment editor at Miami’s WPLG, where she handled breaking news, kept an eye on police scanners, sent out the helicopter, managed reporters, and much more. While there she discovered that she was passionate about field reporting, interacting with people, and changing their lives.
