Machado works for WTVJ as a weekend evening news anchor and a consumer investigative reporter. She joined the NBC 6News team in May 2016. Prior to this, she served CNN as a network correspondent for 3 years and a month since April 2013.
Also, she has borne witness to some of the major national stories in recent years counting the church massacre in Charleston, South Carolina, the George Zimmerman trial, and his brushes with the law. Further, the West Virginia chemical leak polluted the water supply for hundreds of thousands of residents.
In addition, her works were regularly featured on CNN, CNN International, and CNN en Espanol. Prior to CNN, she spent a decade serving at local TV stations all over the country. For example, she served in major cities like Atlanta and Chicago.
Also, she served ABC 11 in Raleigh, North Carolina as a general assignment reporter. While there, she broadcasted the John Edwards campaign finance fraud trial, the 2011 fatal tornado outbreak, and the after-effects of Hurricane Irene.
Moreover, she served in Milwaukee at CBS 58/Telemundo Wisconsin as a bilingual anchor and a reporter. However, she launched her on-screen career while serving the NBC affiliate in Quincy, Illinois, WGEM-TV when she was still studying.
When she is not working, she loves spending time outdoors, playing tennis, going for a leisure bike ride with her husband, and walking the dog.
