Later, she joined the 41NBC team as a reporter and anchor in Macon. There, she produced cut-in breaks, covered reports, did live-studio interviews, and handled story pitching, editing, and posting for 3 years and 4 months. Now, she is employed by WKMG-TV in Orlando, Florida as a weekend morning anchor and reporter assisting in decision-making and finding sources.

Additionally, Castro received a certification in social media from HubSpot and she volunteered in the Girls Scouts of Historic Georiga program to help coach and support young girls.
