Russo works for WGNO-TV as a weekend news anchor, producer, and weekday reporter. She joined the WGNO team in March 2022. Additionally, she has been nominated for an Emmy award. Nonetheless, she debuted her broadcasting career when she served in Pensacola, Florida at WEAR-TV as a digital producer. Later, she went on to become the 6 p.m. newscast producer and a sideline sports reporter.
Further, she went on to serve in Charleston, South Carolina at WCIV-TV. While there, she began serving as the weekend reporter, prior to serving as the morning reporter and ultimately dayside reporter. Also, she serves as a substitute and anchored a number of newscasts weekly. While at WCIV, she was nominated for an Emmy award for her broadcast of a mass march on the Ravenel Bridge. For two years, she served in the Lowcountry and developed a strong set of reporting and anchoring skills.
