After that, in 1996, he started providing analysis for News 12 Long Island during the Democratic National Convention. Hahn was a legislative assistant to Senator Charles Schumer during the latter’s first time in office. After that, he worked for Thomas R. Suozzi, the then-county executive of Nassau County, New York, as Chief Deputy County Executive. Additionally, he was the CEO of United Way of Long Island.
