In November 2006, he transitioned to the anchoring industry and served as a news anchor. Additionally, he reported on big happenings. For instance, the 2008 presidential poll, the “Miracle on the Hudson” landing of U.S. Airways Flight 1549, Pope Benedict XVI’s visit to New York, and the Brooklyn tornado. Moreover, he provided coverage for the scandal that caused the resignation of Governor Eliot Spitzer.

Also, the East Side crane collapse, the national recession, and the rebuilding of the World Trade Center. Further, he has received 21 Emmys, counting three wins in the Best News Anchor category.
