Effrage is an American journalist working as the Evening Weekend Meteorologist for KRDO News Channel13 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Originally from Dallas Texas, Effrage attended Texas A&M University and graduated in 2020. While attending TAMU, Effrage worked as a newscaster for KAMU-TV, a local PBS Kids TV station, as well as KTRL and KAMU-FM, local radio stations.
She served as the principal investigator and team leader in a project that was presented in 2020 at the American Meteorological Society Conference. The study used Hurricane Harvey, Tropical Storm Imelda, and a significant flooding incident that happened in Houston, Texas in 2019 as case studies for its investigation of the relationship between lightning activity and precipitation. Effrage moved out of Texas permanently after graduating and landed a job as a weekend meteorologist in the Midwest. She was able to foresee all the weather-related events that impact the Midwest there, including heat, snow, and severe weather. Besides covering the weather, she also got to conduct a weather special and some reporting.
One of her greatest achievements was going viral in 2021 when she interrupted her forecast to give a live on-camera reaction to the Texas A&M vs. Alabama game. Her video aired both locally and internationally. She is a devoted Aggie supporter and takes great pride in having graduated from the school. Since she’s from Dallas, she loves the Mavericks, and MFFL, but not the Cowboys as much, so Bronco fans, don’t worry, she won’t take offense at your insults. She loves traveling, sports, food, TV, music, and sports in her free time.
