He was raised in Chicago, Illinois, and has direct knowledge of the Midwest’s and Lake Michigan’s weather patterns.

From an early age, he developed an interest in weather. He found it fascinating to observe a distant thunderstorm at his parents’ house when he was about nine years old. What followed was history. Gino began his broadcasting career working as the Chief meteorologist for the FOX affiliate, KQDS-DT in Duluth, Minnesota.

After that, he was hired as the weekend Meteorologist at NBC 26 in Green Bay, Wisconsin. During his six-year tenure there, he aided his chief meteorologist with multiple wall-to-wall coverage of severe thunderstorms and the worst snowstorm in a century, which resulted in two feet of accumulation. In his free time, Gino enjoys being outdoors and being active, whether it be through hiking, bicycling, nature photography, or playing tennis, which is his favorite sport. Additionally, he enjoys exploring new restaurants and tasting new cuisine.
