Since joining News 8, Jack has covered numerous major sports events, including the World Series, NBA, Stanley Cup, and Rose Bowl. He has attended two Major League Baseball All-Star Games, the Ryder Cup, and numerous NCAA Final Four tournaments with Michigan State University.
Jack has also worked for NBC Sports as a sideline reporter although covering the Olympics has been his greatest passion. Throughout the course of his career, he has been to eleven of them, including Beijing, Sochi, Rio, PyeongChang, Tokyo, Calgary, Seoul, Atlanta, Sydney, Athens, Torino, Beijing, and Rio.
Three years in a row, Jack received the esteemed Edward R. Murrow Award for sports journalism. In addition, he has received seven Emmys and other honors from the Michigan Association of Broadcasters and the Associated Press. In addition, he is a board member of the Positively Warren Golf Tournament, which honors Warren Reynolds, the longtime sports director of WOOD-TV, and the Grand Rapids Sports Hall of Fame.
