Jay has spent 29 years in television and radio news whereby, 16 of them with Hubbard Broadcasting. He was part of the TV news investigative team from 1992-2003.
Further, he was a radio talk show host at AM1500 From 2006 to 2010. Kolls won five National Awards for investigative reporting. These include an Edward R. Murrow Award, and the Society of Professional Journalists’ Bronze Medallion, as well as three National Headliner Awards.
Additionally, he won 8 Chicago/Midwest Emmy Awards, including one for individual excellence. Jay enjoys fishing, hunting, and golfing. He resides in the St. Croix River Valley. His son is a Marine combat veteran from the war in Afghanistan. His beautiful daughter plays hockey at the University of Minnesota, Duluth.
