After graduating, she was hired as a multimedia journalist at KOBI-TV, the NBC affiliate in Medford, Oregon. There, she began as a reporter before being promoted to the position of evening anchor, where she oversaw the 6, 10, and 11 p.m. broadcasts.
King Joined FOX 7 Austin (KTBC) as a reporter in August 2024. She covers local news on both weekdays and weekends. Additionally, King was named the Television Rookie of the Year by the Austin Alliance for Women in Media in April, 2025.
