Croup worked at ESPN3 as a Midfield camera operator for one month in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He ran cable and assisted with the production of ESPN3’s broadcast. Also, he was a media and public relations intern at Pittsburgh Pirates. Here, he helped with all game day duties with the media and public relations departments during Pirates home games among other assignments.

 Further, Josh joined NHL Network as a production runner for one year and later moved to Carnegie Mellon University – Tepper School of Business as a public relations intern for four months. However, he shifted to WQED Multimedia as a broadcast intern where he assisted in the production of live iQsmartparent webcasts

Additionally, he worked at Pittsburgh Penguins as a media relations staff and assisted the public relations department with game-day operations, and wrote game notes during and after home games with stats and information for media. Besides, he was a social media coordinator for four months at AT&T SportsNet as well as an athlete communications apprentice at Point Park University for over two years.

Besides, Josh also won the 2019 Associated Press Virginias Award for Best Reporter and the 2019 West Virginia Broadcasters Association Award for Best General Assignment Reporting. His skills include social media, public speaking, and reporting only to mention a few.

Josh won two Mid-Atlantic Emmy Awards and won the 2017 distinction in the college/university talent category.
