Joyce is an American journalist working as co-anchor of WISN 12 News at 6:00 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She began her journalism career working as a reporter and anchor at WSAW-TV in Wausau. After that, she was hired in the same capacity at WTVF-TV in Nashville. In 1998, she joined WITI-TV, where she spent 16 years working as a primary news anchor and reporter. At times, she successfully anchored three daily newscasts, including the 10 p.m. show.
She started with WISN in 2006 because the job allowed her to work on relevant, meaningful projects on a part-time basis while still being more involved with her family at home. In 2015, she resumed at WISN full-time. Joyce has worked in the Milwaukee television market for more than 35 years. During that time, she has had one-on-one interviews with New York Archbishop Timothy Dolan, President Barack Obama, and President Bill Clinton.
Wisconsin law changed to allow for the posting of code violations at daycare institutions as a result of an investigative series Joyce reported. She has won nine Chicago regional Emmy Awards. She also hosted a bullying documentary that was recognized nationally with an Edward R. Murrow Award and the esteemed George Foster Peabody Award.
Joyce was inducted into the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame in 2022, becoming the 12th female inductee in the Hall out of 159 members. Additionally, the Milwaukee Press Club inducted Joyce into its Media Hall of Fame in October of that same year. Since 2012, she has been a member of the Wisconsin Silver Circle, a lifetime achievement honor granted by the Chicago region National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
