After graduating, Katie relocated to Sioux City, Iowa, where she worked at KMEG/KPTH as the weekday morning meteorologist. While there, she served as the station’s chief storm chaser, founded the Friday Furcast, and received an Upper Midwest Regional Emmy Award. She is an American Meteorological Society (AMS) Certified Broadcast Meteorologist. When Katie isn’t on the air, she can be found online using her meteorology expertise to enlighten viewers about the weather with entertaining and educational movies on TikTok.
