Besides, she actively participates on social media with her savvy research. Prior to joining the 13abc team, she was an investigative intern at WBBM | CBS Chicago for 11 months. Her skills include publications, social media, and public speaking among others.

Molander began her journalism career in South Africa, where she highlighted human rights abuses, uncovered government corruption, and documented the daily struggles of those living in abject poverty. Molander worked as a Head Foreign teacher at Ewell Edu English Academy in Chringju, South Korea.

Here, she created curricula for all classes, corrected all translations, tutored, and taught students of all ages and experience levels, as well as supervising the other foreign teachers. Also, she acted as an intermediary between the Koreans and the Westerners with all the language and cultural barriers.

Further, Kayla interned at Grocott’s Mail in Grahamstown, Eastern Cape, South Africa. Also, she interned at GroundUp as a beginning reporter where she published several stories a week about various issues. However, Kayla became a tutor at Genius Kids Club for 11 months.
