Kristin Pierce is an American journalist working at WISN 12 News as the co-anchor of the 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. newscasts. She has been working with the network since March 2022. Previously, Pierce worked as a Weekday Morning Anchor at WHAS-TV in Louisville, Kentucky. Before that, she was hired as an anchor and reporter at WWL-TV in Greater New Orleans. Pierce has also worked as a reporter at WXYZ/WMYD in Southfield, MI. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and the National Association of Black Journalists.

Soon after, she was moved up to the 4:00 and 5:00 pm shows.
Kristin began her journalism career as an Associate producer at WTVG In Toledo, Ohio, and then at WDIV-TV in Detroit, Michigan. After that, she was hired as a reporter at WXYZ/WMYD in Southfield, Michigan. While there, she covered several high-profile cases, including the Renisha McBride murder case, the Flint water crisis, and the corruption trial of former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick.
In January 2017, she moved to New Orleans, Louisiana, and landed a job at WWL-TV as a weekend anchor and reporter. In this capacity, Kristin broke the story of a scandal involving a utility corporation that was paying actors to go before city councils and promote a $210 million gas plant. This story resulted in a $5 million fine for that power company. She produced a segment called “Neighborhood Heroes” in New Orleans that featured locals making constructive changes in their neighborhoods.
Before joining WISN 12 News she worked as Weekday Morning Anchor at WHAS-TV in Louisville, Kentucky. During her tenure there, she started a weekly news program called “What’s Right with Kristin Pierce” that also featured locals making constructive changes in their neighborhoods. She also participated actively in the community, holding positions as an honorary chairwoman for Jefferson County Public Schools, a member of the planning committee for The Hunger Walk for Dare to Care, and the board of directors for The Center for Women and Families.
Kristin is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and the National Association of Black Journalists. Additionally, She is an advocate of domestic violence having survived this kind of violence. She frequently tells her personal story of overcoming abuse in the hopes that it would improve the lives of others.
