Further, she submitted stories for the News at 5 and 6 p.m. throughout the week. In January 2013, she became a weekday early-morning co-anchor on the 4:30 a.m. newscast. Prior to working for WSB, she used to be an anchor for CNN Headline News.
While working for CNN she has covered national and international stories alike such as the 9-11, the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and the capture of Saddam Hussein to list a few. Also, she co-anchored the morning news program ‘Ahead of the Curve’ which aired back to back on CNN/U.S. and CNNfn, which is CNN’s former financial news network. Stouffer was among various people who were dismissed in December 2008, her last day to air at CNN was December 14, 2008.
In addition, she has worked for WSVN-TV, Miami as a general assignment reporter and a weekend anchor. When Stouffer finished college she joined KMOL-TV, San Antonio in 1992 as a general assignment report under the name Cinnamon Stouffer. Moreover, she got promoted to anchor. Later on, she professionally alternated her name to Linda Stouffer when she joined CNN IN 1997.
