Originally from Upstate New York, Madison fell in love with storytelling at an early age. She quickly realized the value and power of journalism as a child by watching the TODAY show every morning and NBC Nightly News every evening with her parents. Madison began her broadcasting career as an intern for CBS News in London and the NBC News Dateline team in Los Angeles. She also interned at WROC News 8, the CBS affiliate in Rochester, New York.
After graduating she was hired as a multimedia journalist at WSYR News Channel 9, in Syracuse, New York. While there, she also worked as a nightside reporter and fill-in anchor for the morning and evening newscasts. For her three-part investigative series on a problematic nursing facility in Syracuse, Madison was honored with a Syracuse Press Club Honorable Mention Award. This series contributed to the opening of an investigation by the NYS Attorney General’s Office. Additionally, she was a member of the team that received a regional Edward R. Murrow Award for their breaking news coverage of the Central New York flooding crisis.
Madison is thrilled to be discovering everything that Milwaukee and the Midwest have to offer and to be joining the bright and committed team at 12 News! During her free time, she enjoys exploring museums, going out to new restaurants or breweries, and spending time outside when she’s not on the show.
