There, he covered sports at four institutions which are NCAA Division-II, NAIA colleges, Division-III schools, and Division-I South Dakota. Mark spent much time on the highways and roads in northwest Iowa, northeast Nebraska as well southeast South Dakota. He covered many high school games in the Siouxland area and a Super Bowl LII in Minnesota.
Before his professional career as a journalist, Mark learned the television ropes at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This took him four years and later graduated with a degree in broadcast and electronic communication in 2013. He was an assistant sports director as well as a sports director for the campus TV station, MUTV. He interned at KTTC-TV in Rochester, Minnesota, and WDJT in Milwaukee.
