Bailey went to St Mary’s Academy high school in 2000 and later graduated in 2004. There she participated in the color guard as the co-captain in 2002 and was later promoted to captain in 2003. She went to Northwestern State University in 2004 and later graduated in 2008 with a bachelor of arts degree in broadcast journalism. There she served as a main anchor for the school’s station NSU 22 during her Junior and senior years and was also associated with the NSU Angels. Bailey is an anchor who works at the network’s weekday evening newscasts at 5 p.m. & 10 p.m. and also the network’s headlines from the live desk at 4 p.m. & 6 p.m. Previously, in November 2019 she was tenured as the network’s weekend anchor/ reporter and later promoted to evening anchor in December 2021. Prior to joining the network, she was tenured at NBC15 in Mobile as a reporter for four years. Additionally, she also was tenured in August 2018 as an Adjunct Instructor at the University of South Alabama.
Prior to joining the network, she was tenured at Local 15/WPMI- TV in Mobile Alabama Area in October 2015. There she was to enterprise, write and edit packages and also serve as a fill-in anchor. She also would be seen posting updates daily on the network’s webpage and social media. Previously, she served at WAFF in August 2013 in Huntsville, Alabama Area as a morning reporter. There she delivered 6-8 shots each morning at a two and half hour show, posted to the network’s webpage and social media.
She also featured various headlines nationally, including the bus shooting and a hostage situation in Midland City. Additionally, she also covered the gambling controversy in Houston County. For the network, she also was to shoot, write and edit packages and also serve as a fill-in anchor. In May 2011, she was tenured at WTVY in Dothan, Alabama Area for two years as a reporter, producer, and fill-in anchor. It was during her tenure there that she developed an excellent relationship with her contacts.
Additionally, she also used the TVUPack to deliver live shots weekly for the network, and enterprise and shot and edit packages daily. She would regularly be seen posting on the network’s social media and websites and also producing newscasts. Bailey began her career, as an associate producer at WWL- TV in August 2008 writing scripts for the network’s morning show. She also selected sound and videos for the network’s stories, wrote content for wwltv.com, assisted producers and producers, and was also a fill-in reporter.
In May 2008, she was tenured as an intern at WGNO ABC26 in Greater New Orleans Area as an assignment desk reporter. She also printed rundowns and scripts, operated a teleprompter, and assisted and shadowed reporters.
