Nick Bohr is an Emmy, AP, Murrow, WBA, and Milwaukee Press Club Award-winning journalist working at WISN 12 News as a general assignment reporter for the 4, 5, and 6 newscasts. He has been working with the network since January 1994. Previously, Nick worked at WBEV/WXRO/WYKY in Beaver Dam. He is a member of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Silver Circle.

Bohr is an award-winning journalist working at WISN 12 News as a general assignment reporter for the 4, 5, and 6 newscasts. His true passion has always been reporting the stories of the people of Southeastern Wisconsin, despite his assignments taking him to far places like Italy, Germany, Texas, New York, North Carolina, and California. Nick began his broadcasting career in radio news and play-by-play. He was first hired at WBEV/WXRO/WYKY in Beaver Dam for three years before moving to then-Hearst-owned WISN Radio 1130.

Nick got the chance to work in television due to the collaboration between the radio and TV morning shows at the time. The TV news director gave him a chance, seeing in him the possibility of reaching a larger audience through storytelling. He had no prior training, so he had to rely on the seasoned photojournalists in the WISN 12 newsroom to teach him how to combine the sound he had been using exclusively with video photos. He owes them all a debt of gratitude after thirty years.

Nick received a lifetime achievement Emmy in 2024 for his more than 25 years of noteworthy contributions to television when he was inducted into the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Silver Circle. He has also received AP, Murrow, WBA, and Milwaukee Press Club awards throughout his Journalism career.
