Ward works for WLS as a daily TV news reporter. He joined the station in October 2021. Prior to that, he served in Baltimore, Maryland at WBAL-TV as a news reporter. In his quarter-century there, he specialized in live and developing news stories. Also, he gained a regional Edward R. Murrow Award for the breaking coverage of the demise of Congressman, Elijah Cummings.

Before that, he served in Louisville, Kentucky at WLKY-TV and in Huntsville, Alabama at WAAY-TV as a TV news reporter. Additionally, he servedNonetheless, his career debuted when he served in Davenport, Iowa at KWQC-TV where he worked as the station’s news producer within which he wrote and produced daily newscasts. He worked there for a year and 5 months since January 2015.
In his free time, he loves reading, debating which Marvel movie is the best, dancing, and traveling. On a side note, when he was younger he often was at the Bud Billiken Parade. One of his favorite childhood memories is when he got advice and encouragement from aspiring Illinois Senator Barack Obama when he was only five years old.
