She began her broadcasting career at the NBC station in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, as an 11 p.m. news anchor and reporter. After that, Susan relocated to the Midstate to work as a weekend anchor and health reporter for the CBS affiliate. In addition, Susan co-hosted the lifestyle radio conversation show Saturday Mornings on WHP-AM.
As someone who is passionate about giving back to the community, she has worked on numerous boards such as those for the Children’s Miracle Network, the Downtown Hershey Association, the Hershey Rotary Club, the Hershey Symphony Orchestra, the Hershey Theatre, and the Hershey Area Playhouse, where she was a founding member and longtime chair.
Susan also assists in leading a local group called Hershey All Things Diversity which promotes equity, diversity, and inclusion. She worked as a supervisor for Derry Township from 2016 to 2021. She also received The Central Penn Business Journal’s Women of Influence Award and the YWCA of Greater Harrisburg’s Women of Excellence Award. In addition, Susan sings with the Hershey Symphony Big Band and has participated in numerous community theater productions.
