Lincoln worked as a Script Producer on HillTV from Sep 2000 to August 2004. He anchored, reported, and produced a highlight-driven show based on Syracuse University athletics. Later, Matt became a sales executive for The Radio People for about eight months where he sold sponsorship for sports and other programming.

Matt anchored weekend sports as well as reporting at KTVE/KARD TV for over two years. Additionally, he shot and produced live sports packages during the week. However, he later moved to WBTW TV as a weekend sports anchor and reporter and later as a sports director from 2007-2010.

Also, filled in as a news anchor for the 4 p.m., 5:30 p.m., and 11 p.m. newscasts.
