Alex has been working at 5 Eyewitness News since October of 2018. Therebefore, she worked at TV stations in Michigan before moving to the Twin Cities. Additionally, she was the morning anchor at WWTV in Traverse City/Cadillac, MI. Also, spent many years at WWMT as a reporter in Grand Rapids/Kalamazoo, MI. Further, Alex interned at stations in Los Angeles and Chicago.
Jokich won multiple awards during her time as a journalist with a Regional Emmy being inclusive for ‘Best Documentary,’. In addition, she received an Edward R. Murrow Award for ‘Excellence in Social Media . Also a Michigan Association of Broadcasters Award for ‘Best Investigative Story.’
Exploring new places is among Alex’s hobbies. She can’t wait to check out the best that Minnesota has to offer! She loves playing tennis and running – and has run two marathons in recent years. Alex actively engages in community activities and has long been a volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters.
