Bill Shields is a former journalist from America who worked at WBZ-TV News as a general assignment reporter and retired in 2021 after 41 years covering the news for CBS Boston. However, Bill passed away on February  17th, 2023 after a long battle with lung cancer. Shields had joined the WBZ team in 1980 in the month of July. He was well experienced in news photography and editing among others. He received a New England Emmy Award having excelled in his work in the year 1982 and 1987.
