Brooke Shafer is an American Journalist who won an award as a reporter and is working at WFOR CBS News since April 2020 serving as an Anchor for This Morning. The program airs on weekdays from 4:30 am to 7 am. Prior to joining the CBS team, she worked at WINK-TV in Fort Myers, Florida for about three years. Also, she was an anchor and reporter for WCJB TV20 from June 2015 until April 2017 in Gainesville, Florida. She was the writer and editor for the 6 pm and 11 pm newscasts and solo anchored weekend 30-minute broadcasts and uploaded website and social media outlets’ stories.

In addition, Shafer interviewed athletes of FSU and covered sports events, and toured the state covering other major stories including the Parkland mass shooting, Hurricanes Michael, and the arrest of Roger Stone among others. Also, she volunteered as a family relations chair at Dance Marathon at Florida State from April 2014 until April 2015. Actively participated on the Executive Board for student-run philanthropies in the nation raising funds and creating awareness for Children’s Miracle Network. Additionally, she teamed with 12 students to make sure the delegation of tasks was done properly. Shafer served at Florida State University as a sports intern and for Seminole.com from August 2014 to December of the same year in Tallahassee, Florida. Thereafter, she joined FOX Sun Sports as a reporter and host as well as for Seminole sports magazine for one year and five months. There, she wrote and featured in stories and sports segment updates for numerous Florida State Athletics.
