Cromer started her journey in journalism while still at school where she interned as a student media producer at SCETV. In 2015, Brookley started working for the station, when she won her first reporting position in her hometown.
For the greatest evening newscast in the Southeast, Brookley and her coworkers from The Ten O’Clock News have been nominated for three Emmy awards. She was also a member of the crew that received an honorable mention for their coverage of a deadly tornado that struck Seneca, South Carolina, in 2020. Also, the South Carolina Broadcasters Association’s STAR Award for the state’s best evening newscast.
Following her thorough investigation into Spartanburg County serial killer Todd Kohlhepp, Brookley appeared on Investigation Discovery’s Serial Killer: Devil Unchained and FOX Nation’s documentary series, Evil Next Door.
