White has worked as a presenter and senior reporter for BBC Look East, Radio 5 Live Morning Reports, BBC Three 60 Seconds, and BBC News. He also had his own late-night talk show on BBC London 94.9. In 2002 she joined Radio 1 Newsbeat and its digital sister station BBC Radio 1Xtra as a reporter. In 2005, she started working with DJ G Money to host the two-hour news, magazine, and documentary program 1Xtra TX. She also previously worked as a reporter and producer for ITV News Meridian at ITV Meridian in Kent.
In 2008 she moved to work at ITN as the presenter of ITV News at 5:30 am on ITV. He also presented three short options that were broadcast on ITV London as part of GMTV (later Daybreak) for ITV News London. She resigned from those roles on 10 October 2012, although she remained the main 6 pm presenter of ITV News London. On 9 April 2014, White became the first black woman to present ITV’s ten o’clock news and served as an occasional assistant presenter until October 2015. He also occasionally presented ITV Weekend News until 2019.
White continues to act as an assistant presenter on ITV Lunchtime News and ITV Evening News. On 30 May 2019, White was promoted to the lead presenter on ITV News London’s main show. On August 12, 2020, White made her debut as a guest host on Loose Women. She returned on January 11, 2021, when it was announced that she would become a permanent presenter following Andrea McLean’s departure from the show.
