Therebefore joining KLAS-TV’s 8 News team Christian was a reporter in the San Francisco Bay Area as well as, Philadelphia, New Jersey, and San Diego. Cazares nurtured his passion for journalism in Las Vegas and brings it back a second time to Las Vegas, the city he now calls home.
Cazares is originally from San Diego, California, and has traveled from coast to coast reporting on stories that impact the community. He reported on the California Wildfires, the casino downfall of Atlantic City, and the 2015 Papal Visit to Philadelphia. Christian was lucky to have covered the Presidential Debates between Donald Trump and Hilary Clinton in 2016.
During his tenure in broadcasting, Christian reported to English and Spanish-speaking audiences the devastation that Hurricane Irma left in Miami in 2017. He also reported on the most notable terror attack investigations in New Jersey and New York City.
Christian participated on the Board of the Pacific Southwest chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences and hence was recognized for his journalistic career by the NAACP. He was also recognized by the Society of Professional Journalists, the San Diego Press Club, Congress, and the Senate. Christian loves exploring Las Vegas’s culinary scene, Red Rock, and the local dog parks whenever off duty.
