Eid married his best friend Lisa DeBlois In 1996 and together have two adorable children a son Drew who is about 21 and plays Ice Hockey for Worcester State University and a daughter Danielle who will be a Freshmen at Holy Cross College in Worcester, MA. However, his wife was diagnosed with Stage-4 non-smokers lung cancer in 2014 and fought as well as being an advocate and spokesperson for research and treatment, including traveling to Washington, D.C. to meet with members of Congress. Unfortunately, Lisa lost her battle with lung cancer but her legacy will live on through her family, including her two beautiful children.

Lisa battled with cancer for seven years. Therefore, Dave and Lisa learned to cherish those they love and to realize how many people love them.  Davie was off television for a few weeks caring for his sick wife.  Lisa DeBlois Eid had a big smile and warmth that could light up the room. Besides, Dave was joyous when she left her noted career as a hairstylist on Boston’s Beacon Street to return to Maine.

DeBlois was a daughter of a well-known Lewiston family, who was very famous. The two were married for 25 years as of 2021 and lived happily with their children. Lisa loved cheering for hockey rink or softball, win or lose to encourage her beloved children.

Eid schooled at St. John’s High School in Shrewsbury, MA, and successfully completed it. Thereafter, Davie joined Curry College in Milton, MA, and earned a Bachelors’s Degree in Communications. Additionally, he joined Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI, and graduated with a Master’s Degree in Broadcast Communications.

Eid’s passion for a broadcasting career spiked while during his tender age especially when he accompanied his dad, brother, and sister at Fenway Park. Davie had no doubt he wanted to work in a sports-related field when an adult. He loved playing Ice Hockey and baseball and went to various games annually where he was excited walking up the ramp along the first base side to see the big Green Monster in left field.

Eid applied for job vacancies  787 times with fail after graduating from campus to the point of almost giving up. Therefore, he thought of changing to a different career but a friend from Milwaukee who was working at a small TV station in Rhinelander, WI advised him to intern in the Midwest under him. Fortunately, he interned at night and worked at the Holiday Inn during the day, and was later hired as a news reporter.

Further, Davie was promoted to the Sports Department. However, he moved to WVII-TV in Bangor, ME, and then Fox 51 in Portland, ME. Later, he was employed by WGME-TV in January 1996 where he is living the dream in his career. He now anchors the Sports each and every night covering a Super Bowl or a State Championship.
