Further, one of her spotlights in her career was when she was nominated to work as Grand Marshal of Tampa’s yearly Dr. Martin Luther King Junior Parade. Also, she is one of the most demanded host, Mc and speaker in the Tampa Bay Area.
Additionally, she worked as a core speaker for Florida Hospital’s Women’s Health Symposium and as a panelist for the University of South Florida’s Women’s Health series. Also, she volunteers numerous hours with several funds, school and community happenings and civic groups. Riley is an operating member of Gamma Theta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
Further, she is a constituting member of Women for Gulfside Hospice and Palliative Care, which issues concerned, merit care to people and their loved ones as they experience life-rationing illnesses. She was named a “Leading Person of Tampa Bay” by Tampa Magazine. Further, she has been acknowledged by the Tampa Bay Association of Black Journalist as a ‘Legacy Award winner.’
Also, The United Negro College Fund acclaimed Riley for her devotion as the head and influencer in Tampa’s African American community. Moreover, she takes pride in mentoring students. On a side note, she’s “team mom” for her kids travel volleyball teams and on the PTA at their school.
When she’s not working, she enjoys cooking. Also, she led , “Dinner on a Budget,” a weekly series on ABC Action News where she prepares and shares her favorite recipes. Also, she is a cyclist and a runner. Additionally, she participated in the Gasparilla Half Marathon in 2017.
