He started out at WHTM as a weekend sports anchor working under the illustrious Sports Director, Gregg Mace. He covered Penn State football, the World Series, Super Bowls, NASCAR races, baseball’s Spring Training, and Bowl Games in that capacity. However, he is mostly proud of co-creating the show Friday Night Football, which marked its 25th anniversary in 2021. The program keeps showcasing Central Pennsylvania’s high school athletes, cheerleaders, and bands that make Friday nights special across Central Pennsylvania.

Dennis made the transition to news in 1999, co-hosting Live at Five, which highlighted his audience and community relations skills.
