Popalis is an American journalist working at ABC 27 News as a Sports reporter since joining the network in May 2023. He began his broadcasting career in high school serving as the Public Address Announcer for the Warwick Youth Football. Popalis served as an Atlantic League member of the Lancaster Barnstormers in 2018 and 2019. He was given an internship with the team during his final year of high school, and following the internship, he was hired. While there, he emceed home games, and conducted broadcasts overall for the team.
Popalis also served as the livestream host for the Penn State Homecoming Parade in 2022. Throughout his career, Evan has done a wide range of broadcasting. He worked as a sports director for the student-run radio station COMM Radio and as one-half of the lead anchor team for the Centre County Report.
