Stockburger is an American journalist working at WHTM/ABC 27 News as the Executive Digital Producer, where he oversees material for WHTM’s social media platforms and ABC27.com. During his time at Penn State University, he was part of the management team of CommRadio. He also hosted talk shows and gave play-by-play commentary for Penn State hockey, baseball, football, and lacrosse.
In 2016, he hosted and delivered live radio coverage of the NFL Draft from his hometown of Philadelphia. Additionally, he oversaw the digital staff for three years at 18 News in Elmira, New York, before relocating to Harrisburg. He also worked as a sports anchor, evening news anchor, and reporter in Elmira.
As an Executive Digital Producer, George has won numerous accolades, including the 2019 New York State Associated Press Association award and the Professional Keystone Media Award for 2023, both for Best Digital Presence. Additionally, he received recognition for his efforts in the 2022 U.S. Senate Debate by winning awards from the Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters and the Keystone Media Award.
