Gina loves reporting about Southwest Florida whether it’s stories about neighbors lending a helping hand to strangers, first responders displaying incredible bravery on a daily basis, or bringing you up to date on the latest initiatives your local government is taking on that will impact your life. Like many of you, Gina is from up north, Michigan specifically. While she grew up in the Detroit area, she is a fan of her alum, Central Michigan University where she majored in Broadcasting Arts, and minored in journalism. The cold winters chased her to Gulfport, Mississippi, where she took her first reporting job at WXXV-TV after college. Her goal always was and remains to be a voice for the voiceless, to bring you fair stories, that tell both sides and entertain you along the way. Gina is most likely at the beach or on a boat when she’s not at work! In addition to being a sucker for sushi, Gina plays pickleball occasionally and is a mom to a spoilt Persian cat named Kokomo.
