James Crummel is an American journalist working at WHTM/ABC 27 News as co-anchor of Daybreak weekdays from 4:30-7 a.m. and is the anchor of ABC 27 News at Noon. He joined the network as a reporter in September 2005. Crummel is originally from Central Pennsylvania and a proud graduate of Penn State University.

He visited the Jersey Shore for his “Operation Sandy Relief” reports in order to see the destruction and talk to individuals impacted. Together with Mission Central in Mechanicsburg, he oversaw a massive fundraising effort to provide the victims with much-needed clothing and other goods.

Being a member of the ABC 27 news team brings him great joy. He is thrilled to be here, having grown up watching WHTM. When James isn’t working, he may be found riding coasters at Hersheypark or volunteering with the American Literacy Corporation.
