While there, Jannay received recognition for a remarkable story she field-anchored about President Bush’s visit with a journalism prize. She still backs the Grizzlies even though she graduated from the University of Montana with a degree in broadcast journalism.
Further, Jannay has several connections in the heart of Iowa and through the Everybody Wins mentoring program at Monroe Elementary School, she as well reads to children every Thursday. She also participates in The Pet Project Midwest, which uses its Pet Pantry to help Iowans keep their cherished pets at home and out of local shelters, and she helps out at Cornerstone of Hope Orphanage.
