Julie’s driving force behind PBJ PLZ! has been such a success. This belongs to WCTV drive together with Leon County Schools and Second Harvest collecting tons of peanut butter and jelly to help hungry kids. The National Association of Broadcasters Leadership Foundation was able to award her  Service to America Award for the drive in 2018.

Montanaro participates on the United Way of the Big Bend’s board of directors actively and hence chaired its 2016 community campaign. She earned her degree in Broadcast Journalism from Syracuse University.
