Karen’s journey through graduate school assisted her to connect to her roots of being a proud Mixteco and Triqui descent. She successfully graduated with her master’s degree in May 2019.

Karen loves to spend her free time hanging out with her loved ones. Cruz-Orduña is a former cross-country runner, and hence enjoys running and working out. Karen is a real travel bug and loves to explore new cities and countries.
