Her father died at the age of 88 years old and was a US Navy veteran who had served in World War II.

Later on, after the war, he attended the University of Connecticut where he obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Forest management. After his graduation, he worked for a few years for the United States Forest Service. This was before later joining Pratt & Whitney in the purchasing department. It is after thirty years with Pratt that Mr. Ingraham owned and operated Coin-o-Matic Car wash in Manchester, according to his obituary.

Laura was also raised by her mother, Anne Caroline Kozack who unfortunately passed away in the year 1999. Anne was the daughter of Polish Immigrants and was working in the thread mills of Willimantic when she was a young lady before later moving to Simsbury. She also worked at the Eastbury School before later moving to become a waitress at Willie’s Steakhouse in Manchester till the year 1994.
