Lina Sinjab Career
Sinjab is an independent filmmaker and BBC Middle East correspondent based in Beirut. She also writes for several international media and is a regular contributor to Syria From Within, a Chatham House political initiative. Since her debut, Lina has successfully managed to cover the Syrian uprising extensively in 2011. In 2019 she managed to excellently produce and direct a film about the Siege of Aleppo, “Madness in Aleppo”. 2014 and 2016 he covered the Syria peace talks in Geneva as a BBC global Affairs Reporter.
2013a she also directed “Suryyat”, a film about Syrian women during the uprising. In May 2013, Lina won the International Media Cutting Edge Award for her reporting on Syria. He also presented a special series of Affection’s award-winning archives covering 10 years of his country’s civil war. In 2013 he recorded an audio diary of his last days in Damascus working for the BBC.
In this intimate and insightful show, he combines dramatic scenes and interview footage with his own story and talks about his thoughts, feelings and encounters before leaving the country. Ten years later, series producer Lucy Ash interviews her about how she thought I enjoyed hearing those stories.

After fleeing her home country, she continued to cover Syria from the BBC’s London office before moving to Beirut in 2015 to continue her work.
