Prior to working for WJLA, she served WFLA-TV, Tampa as a breaking news anchor for 2 years and a month since August 2014. Further, she has served Feature Story News, Los Angeles as a North America correspondent for 2 years and 7 months since February 2012.

Too, she has worked for WUSA-TV, Washington as a general assignment reporter for 3 years and a month since January 2009. Last but not least, she has worked for WSIL-TV, Southern Illinois as a morning show anchor and reporter on News 3. She served the station for 3 years and 7 months since January 2005.

While in college she interned at ABC News Nightline with Ted Koppel & This Week with George Stephanopoulos, Washington, DC in the Fall of 2004. Also, she has broadcasted the inaugurations of President Joe Biden, President Donald Trump and President Barack Obama in Washington, D.C. Further, she has travelled across the state to report on the Pulse Nightclub shooting in Orlando, Florida and the mass shooting near the University of California Santa Barbara.

Additionally, she broadcasted the search for the Boston Marathon bomber and was present during the declaration of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev arrest by the authorities in Watertown. Also, she broadcasted the life-threatening West, Texas, fertilizer plant explosion, and the mass shooting at a movie theater from Aurora, Colorado.

At an international level, Mastis has traveled through India with the International Reporting Project to originate a documentary on child mortality, broadcasted on medical tourism in Mexico, and taught TV journalism and social media to journalists in the Kurdish region of Iraq. Additionally, she is an Emmy awarded journalist.

Locally, she partakes in volunteer work with various organizations counting the Charles County Law Enforcement Torch Run to support the Special Olympics, several school and career organizations and the Autism Speaks National Capital Area. On a side note, she is is active within the Greek American community in Washington, D.C.
