Further, she has served the station for more than half a decade. Prior to this, she served as a host of the nationally syndicated morning show, The Daily Buzz.
During her quarter-century there, she did one-on-one interviews with some of the biggest names in Hollywood. For instance, Matthew McConaughey, Jared Leto, Jennifer Connelly, Jennifer Garner, and Colin Farrell. Also, she broadcasted news every morning on the state level and provided coverage for big national breaking news for the three-hour program like the explosion in West, Texas, and the Boston Marathon bombings.
Nonetheless, her TV career debuted when she served in the Houston region as a primary anchor. Moreover, she served in Tyler, Texas at CBS 19 Eyewitness News as an anchor of their Primetime at 5 p.m. newscasts. Later, she was promoted to serve as an anchor of their 6, 6:30, and 10 pm newscasts as well as Managing Editor in addition to the 5 p.m.newscasts.
Following her 5 year stint in East Texas, she went on to serve Fox 4 in Southwest Florida as an anchor of the morning program. In 2002, she attained the title of Miss Texas and competed that fall in the nationally televised Miss America Pageant in Atlantic City. Throughout that pageant, she obtained a preliminary interview award and was dubbed as a Top Ten Finalist.
